fitting wide angle mirror

I got myself one of the wide angle mirrors but haven't replaced it yet for fear of breaking one or the other or some part in the backing. is there a prescribed method for replacement?

Bite the bullet. I just put mine on tonight. Once you've got it clipped off it's plain sailing. Big screwdriver and a twist does.
