Hi everyone, just in the final stages of buying a 1999 GT3. I have gotten the seller to take it to his local Porsche dealer for one of there 89 point checks. Do you think it's worth having one of the people who advertise in the back of Porsche 911 world to take a look as well or if the 89 point porsche check is ok do you think this would be enough?? Also does anyone know what tyres would have been fitted from new? Was there more than one brand fitted?

Cheers

Scott

89 point check by OPC should be enough

gearbox and clutch needs careful scrutiny, but I'm sure the main dealers do this

no I have not seen that one...

what price/mileage is it?

don't worry I am not going to but it under your nose, just curious?

Merlin have a 20k one in at the mo and it will definitely have room on its asking price as the last one they sold came from the same family

I understand that the 1999 cars had some issue with the actual power output (fell short of target) and therefore the better cars are the 2001 MY. Might want to look into that as well...

I was under the impression that all uk cars where deliveried over just a couple of months and there was no difference. If this is true about the engine outputs is there anyway to check if this car has the lower or higher output short of putting on the rollers? Are you talking 20bhp+ ??

Cheers

All the UK cars were delivered between October 99 and early 2000. 2001 cars were LHD.

The UK cars that have been dynoed were producing 360 or more, according to posts on the GT3 register forum.

I wonder if Porsche realise this. The last I read all GT3RS were going to be white.

DAZ
PS - I'll add a yellow GT3 clubsport to the garage please. Oh and silver "Rocks"

Got to agree Daz, only one colour for me and its......

I also personally preferred this particular car before he went for the full R body, but hey thats just me

Mind you red & silver also suit the GT3 well, but white, well to me it just looks like its still in primer

Hmmm, I can't quite make my mind up on the blue tho, its IMHO the best colour for a 964RS or 968CS but not so sure on a 993RS or on this GT3

for me a GT3 looks best in black!!

Think its because its lower but it just looks sleek and mean in black
