There are a few of us down here so I think a meet up is due soon. I'm in pompy, don't you have issues getting on/off the Ferry?

I'm not the most experienced at Track Days but warming the car up before hand and at least one lap to cool down. Don't put handbrake on in pits and leave it running for a bit with the clam up.

Changing oil before a TD is often recomended, check all fluids also.

Jerrie,

When we go to Donnington, we stay here:-

http://www.doningtoncottage.co.uk/

Lovely B&B, very freindly and 5 mins from the circuit.

All of what Bondy suggested plus, run your tyres about 5-7 psi above what you'd normally run on the roadand make sure you bed those new pads in before you try and lean on them too hard or it'll be a trip into Redgate kitty litter!!

Have a good day

Slicks with standard springs and shocks? Beware you'll be on the bump stops and on tight bends you can remove bits of your wheel arch on the tyres...

Trust me on this one Jez...if it's a slick then it's not road legal. biggrin

you are correct , but many tyre manufacturers do a "slick" for road use which has the minimum alloweable tread percentage (which is quite small) ...maybe this is what is being dicussed ?

Not just restricted to Slickish tyres. On the Noble car limits day thats what happend to me with RE050's and Noblescort who did have 888 but a bit more damage.

But I was told the earlier 2.5 cars were a bit lower?
