Bugatti Type 35
Discussion
Sure. You can buy an exact replica. How deep are your pockets?
AFAIK, the Teal 'replicas' (best of a bad bunch, but still a distorted charicature of the original) is no longer available. I believe Onyx (?) are developing a reasonable Type 37 replica at the moment?
Best source for blueprints would be the Bugatti trust at Prescott or Hugh Conway's books.

Panic over.............found a company near Grimsby, called Onxy Sports Cars. just commenced to make a Bugatti type 37 ...........much better quality than the Teal models, correct dimensions, even the right size of wheels.. looks the dogs bo!!ocks..
Looks fairly presentable. Have you seen it in the flesh? It seems the web site of the Argentinian company building exact replicas of T35's (Pur Sang) has been hidden behind a login for the last few weeks. Does anyone know what's happening there?

The engine, gearbox and rear axle, alas, are "donor" units, functional, but modern
The suspension mimmicks the original very closely and looks "right". The brakes have been changed from the original cable operated to hydraulic, but the brake drums are purpose machined to exact sizes and dimentions as the type 37. All this and 19" wire wheels, should make for a fairly accurate vehicle.
I can assure, that there is absolutely no comparison to the old "Teal" kit.
They have a website if you fancy a look..
www.onyxsportscars.f9.co.uk.
I eMailed Pur Sang, a few weeks ago, but have had no reply...at £120k a vehicle, I suppose they are too "busy" to reply.!!
