We stayed on last night for fear of missing something and the predicted need for hair(s) of the dog on the Sunday. A few notable observations, should you think of doing it next year.

* at 7pm there were only us and 2 Rodders left. No party made the attempt to talk to the other, for fear of discovering someone sharpenening an axe.
* We walked the 1/4 mile, laden with Stella, and it took us 23 minutes, 16.4 secs. Out reaction time was approximately 2.5 mins. Our terminal speed was indeed terminal.
* despite being powered by Red Bull, the fact that the whole strip was coated in rubber so sticky that it took your shoes off proved to be a hindrance rather than a help to traction.
* security consists of a guy on a moped and an athletic doberman
* the loos were no better this morning, but there was no queue
* sitting nursing lager in an empty (windy) marquee is the closest you will get to drinking on the Mary Celeste.
* donuts could be enjoyed without other moving obstacles intefering with play
* at 8pm the touring womens Swedish under 21's rounders team turned up for a game, but it proved too wet and windy, so we all retired to our tent, where it was also wet and windy
* having said goodbye to the team this morning, we finally decamped and drove the R500 back through 2 hours of rain.

Thanks to Ted for organising the Fest and to all those who visited the Out Run stand.

A special thanks to the Coram guys, for swapping cars at 1am to do donuts, and to Paul Hadley for stopping us before we did anything we would regret.

Post scrpt:
Having forgotten my sleeping bag, tooth brush, warm clothes and a more attractive partner, I don't know why I did stay Sunday.

Did anyone else use the same underwear for 3 days, or was that just me?
