Tyres for 147GTA

Trying to get hold of replacement 235/35 pirelli pzeros but they are on back order from pirelli until feb/mar 08!

Has anyone tried fitting 245/40's (which are readily available) to a GTA with 18's? I have been warned they may be too big......
