Best way to get a mesh grille?
Discussion
I have just bought an S-Type, 06/56 3-Litre Sport manual, which has a colour keyed grille surround and vertical strake radiator grille. I was thinking of fitting the 'R' look mesh grille. Can I change the grille alone or do I have to change the surround too?
If I have to change both presumably I have to buy one and have it painted to match the car (Midnight).

Answered my q on the other thread. Ta!
Not so sure on the S, but if it is like other Jags (X, XJ), then the mesh tends to be able to just fit behind any grille.
Are you going to go for the bodykit too, looks really mean. Normally on ebay for a few hundred.

TBH, I think these cars look the biz with the Jag S-Type body kit and body coloured grilles and mesh.
Always on ebay for about £600 plus painting.
Definitely right ref: to your last point. The new Jags although 'better', just feel different to the bomb proof feel of the old XK and S-Type.
