Anyone else going ?
Our first time - we have tickets but any experience of what time it is advisable to arrive at the circuit ?
What is the traffic situation usually like getting in / out of the circuit /

Getting in is a doddle (well it was a few years back). Leaving though can be a bit of a nail biter if you've got a ferry booked.

Have a great day!

BAR have had their cars impounded by the French Courts, some 5 year old row over sponsorship.
At least it will stop JV blowing another engine.....

We've got the cars back now. What a wonderful legal system those nice French people have. At least, that's what I think the guys trackside said...

Now we get to see why we pay these drivers all that money - new circuit layout, no practice laps, one warmup and then straight into a low fuel quali run!

Hey Wob - see if you can program JVs car to handle like an F1 for a change, rather than a tescos shopping trolley. He's one of the few real racers left in F1 and unless I'm much mistaken this is his last season.

I just watched JV's lap, and I defy anybody to say it was anything other than stunning. I know it was a drying track (Minardi 1-2 for those who didn't see it yet), but to go P1 on your first lap of the day on a wet track and untried setup takes seriously large balls! You should have heard the cheer here at the factory when he did it.

I'm not usually a big JV fan, but that will have improved his chances of a seat for next year.

My view is that Craig Pollock made the boy rich but probably ruined his career.

He's still a racer though! His dice with the Minardis last week may have been at the back of the field but at least he was still going for it - many others would have just cruised.

He's a bit like Robbie Williams - not bad but huge entertainment.

Good luck for the race!

I'm sorry, he'd rather play with his Playstation than fiddle with Dannii Minogue's furry mouse pad?????

He's not right in the head if you ask me

Got back from French GP on Monday. Would not have missed it for the world - what an event and setting.

Would need to see some improvements in the timetable before another GP visit though. 187 euros for a 20 minute Porsche Supercup race and the Grand Prix is silly. Now there is no morning warm up there is nothing to see on the track (apart from the dricers parade) until the Porsche race at 11.40. By 3.40pm it is all over !
Come on Bernie - sort it out !

Glad you enjoyed it at the track - I fell asleep 2 laps in and work up to see the podium presentations. Wasn't happy but Sky+ came to the rescue - that said I thought I'd done the right thing first time round... Talk about a dull race...

Not as silly as £190 to see the same thing at Silverstone (probably with the same outcome, number of overtaking manouveres and lack of excitement).
