Gearboxes.........again!

Can anyone tell me the mods needed to get the 6 speeder in. I am contemplating engine out over winter and a spruce up in certain areas including fitting my 6sp gearbox. Do I need to mod the fuel tank even though i have a (5 sp) 3R? also what other parts need to be changed? Im having a new Quaife ATB fitted but should i beef anything else up whilst its apart bearings etc? Oh and what about the linkages etc how much is the M400 jobbie?

I think you have to do the suspenson uprights, hammer the fuel tank a bit and that's about it. Whilst you're at it have a TDS put in if you don't already have one and a clutch (or were you thinking of going the "cut chassis" route to get it in?

You need a different wishbone.

Wishbone as Adrian said, different engine mounts, "modify" the fuel tank, Gear linkage(good luck finding one of them!!) various other little bits and bobs.

I recently had the box and gear linkage changed on my GTO-3.

If I recall correctly, it had new engines mounts, a new left wishbone, new gearbox mounts and a few other little bits like new oil feed pipes that were s****ed. I don't remember having to modify the tank.

If you go for the M400 linkage you will need some new tunnel carpet and a tunnel pad (Like the 3r's).

The linkage was well worth the effort!!
