Hello,

Does anyone know what headlight bulb the G32 takes? My car is at my parents house so I cant check myself.

With it being winter I seem to be driving at night alot and would like to install some HID headlight bulbs and ballasts.

Thanks

Ben

Hi , i have been following a similar topic on another forum , the conclusion was that without headlight washers and automatic levelling they didn't comply with european approvals / constuction and use regs if that sort of thing concerns you ! hth, Dave

Hi Dave,

Yeah I've heard a lot about that on another forum aswell but we came to the conclusion that it was o.k!

To be honest I'm not overly concerned, I just want to be able to see more wink

Hello,
I've just installed some Raybrig halogen headlights intended for the MX-5 into my G32. If you replace the retaining rings with modern Wipac ones (eg from a mini plastic headlamp bowl kit) they will drop straight in.
They are already proving a big improvement over standard and my G32 is not charging to well at the moment and consequently a bit short on volts. Once I sort that, I'll try and post a pic and let you know.

I got my lamp units here:

If you give them a call, they may have a pair second hand

Also get Philips X-Treme power bulbs (H4) if you are currently running standard halogen.

Hope that helps

P.S. - Most of the retaining rings sold separately (not in the bowl kit) will NOT be the correct type!

Thanks Geoff,

The mx5 lights look good.
I've also found an H4 dipped + full beam HID kit that looks interesting.
