Just looking at some options and was wondering if anyone else was thinking of going to support the TVRs at Spa at the end of August?

If so fancy making it a convoy and camping thing?

Christof,

That's great to hear! Will you be their for pleasure or in a business guise?

Do you know what the options are re accomodation etc @ the circuit? I'd quite fancy camping there but haven't been able to find anything out yet...

Oh and anything you'd like bringing out from the UK that will fit in the Chim boot?

I can be found in the CDL Awning or very close by, stop and say hello.

Colin,

I think we shall actually be there with tickets from CDL (thanks to the PistonFest auction) all being well - so should bump into you!

Just trying to decide best options for accomodation are re hotels or camping etc - any ideas?

Cheers

Great, can't wait to meet up with you guys....

I'll be there for my pleasure and try to get the T350 into the paddocks.

Anyway, watch out for a guy with a black TVR motorsport polo shirt...

Regarding accomodation try the spa-francorchamps website and follow the hotel link.

Not sure about camping, but last time a few guys camped on the car parking area.

c u soon

I was there yesterday for the test day and will be there for the race too. Camping is no problem as long as you turn up early enough to get a descent pitch. The official home page is www.proximus24hours.com/index.html. You will find a list of hotels on there. There will be some mouthwatering machines participating in the race. In addition to the FIA GT cars there will be a Stealth, a Pagani Zonda, the Zakspeed Viper, two Moslers, a couple of the fastest Belcar entries and of course the CDL Tuscan. So, come in big, big numbers.

Ehm, I was only flying over the topic. The Spa 24 hours will be at the end of this month (July). There is only one TVR entered in there and that is the CDL Tuscan. However, in August there will be another 24 hour race in Belgium, the 24 hours of Zolder (Belcar). Veryplast mentioned yesterday that he believes that the two DeWalt cars will be entered in there. I take it it's true then. So, there's no need for an official launch. We all know about it now.

Would you actually get an official word from TVR about entering a race?

Mh, no CDL car at the test day and now that the official entry list is out they are missing there as well. On the other hand, the Pagani and the Zakspeed were at testing and aren't listed either.

The dates at begining of thread are for the British GT round - 1000km race not the 24hrs.

If the Rollcentre Mosler is at Spa now, then will it be back in time for the GT's at Oulton Park? And ur u guys goin on about the FIA GT's at Spa or the British GT's? AND Mark Butler might be running a Porsche Carrera RSR, I saw him at Mallory Park not too bad.

They don't show any TVRs on the entrants list on the SPA website.

There was an announcement in the paper here in NZ that Carl Hansen (a local guy who has been racing a very highly developed 550bhp+ Rover engined Tuscan racer for years) will be sharing the driving at Spa and then at the Bathurst 24hrs in November. He's also being entered into some Tuscan races to hone his skills. I'm definitely thinking of flying over to Aussie for the 24hrs. It would be great to spank the Holdens in their own back yard!

Ocky

yes the Mosler came back Tues night/Wed morning - thanks to the marvellous Estonian-train-clingers on the bottom of the Eurotunnel trains (again) & they have the audacity to blame signalling problems.

Went to Oulton on Thursday for a bit of a fettle.

I hope the crew had enough sleep. It's quite a program they have to do.
