On my 01 Chim its in the passenger footwell. You fold down the carpet, then drop a wooden trap door type affair and its behind there.

Yes its in the footwell - ok if you are 5`1" and a contortionist - if not - then get a battery conditioner fitted in the boot - they are about £90.00 fitted and make life so much easier - highly recommended!!

Download the Griifith sample chapter from my website... it is all about the battery, charging and how to get at it.

As for driving... Could take you at least 50-100 miles if not more especially with lights etc switched on and the battery is deeply discharged. Better off getting it charged if it has gone completely flat.

You should purchase an accumate from leven technology to keep your battery at its peak and a jump start kit which enables starting without crawling on your hand and knees to connect the battery in the footwell, just simply open the bonnet and connect and start your car

have a look at there web site

When a battery has reached such a state where the vehicle has to be boost/jump started it will take 500 miles "work" to return it to a "ready" state.
