Hi all,
Does any know where the compound is marked on the avon tyres?

Markings on Avon slicks are very difficult to get info on.
Only sure way to establish compound seems to be to buy new ones and read the sticky label!

There is normally a code number with four numbers on it on the side wall this is how they fit the tyre on the rim LF code out can't remember which way the other three go!!

As JP says there isn't a compound code on the tyre, just a part number. Also as JP mentioned they need to be fitted the correct way - like this - http://www.avonracing.com/fitment_page.html

To find what compound they are speak to your local friendly avon motorsport dealer and tell them the number.

Cheers guys I will speak to Avon and find out. Tim P what are the part No.s on those Avon slicks your selling?
