i cant wait for this weekend, DTM sunday and the Spa24hours is on, ive promised myself that one day i will go to the spa24. I am not going to write off any cars chance of winning. But i dont think lister have a good chance, ferrari? im really not sure, lst year they were very unreliable but this year they seem very strong, but 24 hours? then saleen? i think the konrad and GNM cars have a good chance. Then the good old bullet proof viper, im hoping bochout can do it in the larbre viper. The larbre viper (with 2003 spec front end) is one of the quickest FIA GT cars as it proved when it was in the series. I really hope christophe can win, it would be fantastic, give the old girl (viper) a good send off as bochout says 'it is almost certainly the last time the team will race the current chrysler viper, and i want to be part of that'. Anyway, im looking forward to it and may the best car/man/woman win!

The Ferraris are truely stunning, they were timed at 2:15 and declassed all others during the first qualifying today . God, 2:15... that's as fast as the FIA SCC prototypes !!! Shorty did a 2:27 which puts the Mosler into 21st overall and 3rd in class behind a (don't laugh now) Seat Toledo. However, it's not a Toledo as you know them, it's a fire breathing turbo monster which pops and bangs around the circuit and is always spitting fire. Anyway, I bet on the Saleens, though . I'm also interested to see how the Zakspeed Viper (two time winner of the 24hs at the Nuerburgring) will perform, it certainly has the most beautifull livery. Depending on its outcome we may see it in the FIA GT next year as a permanent entry... would do the Zakspeed team good. Speaking of Viper, you won't be happy to hear that one stranded on the circuit with an exploded engine during the first qualifying . Before you ask, I don't know which one it was .

There is a good chance that the SEAT Toledo will make a guest appearance at the Brit GTs at Rockingham

yes, i heard about that, well saw it on live timing and i think it is the Zakspeed viper. yes, looking back at the live timing it shows the car with pedro lamy as doing a best time of 9minutes+ was that the car?

I think larbre have a very good chance, they have won the past 2 years. Its going to be a cracking race. Looking forward to it hugely.

well, the 14 lister will have to start at the back after a huge sunt in free practice and the konrad saleen and no4 force on festina car stopped on the track in qualifying, things not looking to good for them reliabiltity wise, if they cant do an hour qualifying they have no chance of completing 24hours! After hearing that i dont think a saleen can win this year it think it will be a big battle between quick but maybe un reliable 550 and pretty quick but bullet proof vipers. I am really looking forward to the race!

ALSO! this is quite bad really, the Morgan Aero 8, its time was a 2mins33seconds......exactly the same as andy priaulxs time in free practice in his BMW 320i! Oh deary me!

Yes, sadly the Lister had a huge crash during the second qualifying. I hope they get it back together again for the race. The Viper which had the engine failure yesterday got a new one build in.
Unlike last year the Rollcentre car participated in the superpole today and topped its lap time. The crew is happy and is looking forward to tomorrow.
Graham, are you there, I mean at Spa ? I haven't seen any one with DSC gear yet.

Also some bad news for BMS Scuderia italia, the nr 23 car had a hug crash and the number 21 tema has been withdrawn, i imagine this is beacuse biaggi and bobbi have knicked off with their car. Dramas already, and not a single racing lap has been completed!

well, a lot has happened! Larbre No.1 is leading! WHOOOOOOOO! but the 23 ferrari, 14 and 15 lister, creation lister, zwanns viper and no.4 force one car, all either out of the race or considerably delayed, also the saleens have fallen by the way side it seems.

I just wish I could find out what's going on! Is it just me, or are all the "live" sites down at the moment?

Congratulations to the Freisinger guys, but it was a close call for the 550 at the end. I thought one of those Vipers might have caught them! It was good to see the old Zakspeed car going so strongly, despite being six or seven years old. Great stuff!

Following the race was difficult, what with live-timing sites off-line for most of the night. It's at times like those that I'm glad I can check on progress through dsc, although even they had problems.
