Thinking about putting my 330Ci on a track in a couple of months.. Wondering if anyones done this and had some recommendations for setting the car up for it.

I was planning on upgrading the pads / fluid in the brakes but anything anyone else would like to suggest?

I track my Z4 a few times a year and find that EBC red pads are very good, also have upgraded fluid, a cheaper option on the suspension as a start is the Eibach pro-Kit springs,

Caboosemoose, is your 328 purly a track car ??

Pagid Yellow (RS29) are the only pads to consider if you are also using it on the road IMO, I wouldn't touch EBC, nearly killed myself at brands with them years ago, god awful stuff

I'd be tempted to fit an LSD long before worrying about suspension.

I remember going to Bedford a few years ago and meeting a chap with a 330ci - he was complaining about his in side rear spinning in the corners and he seemed quite frustrated by it.

RS29s, fluid, hoses, LSD and then suspension - probably in that order for me. No idea if there are any cost-effective slippy-diff options for the E46 cars so it may be quite a costly exercise...

Personal preference really - but I think I'd have more fun with a slippy diff than suspension although I'm sure that the _vast_ majority of people do suspension first.

Just for clarity, is this a good recommendation for brake pads?

had a couple of laps at Croft in my 335d and two laps was enough yikes brake pedal was on the floor and tyres were worse than useless. although been very quick down the straights It was shocking on brakes and through corners was spinning inside wheel up exiting corners,I was thinking of doing the top gear track in it but I would get definatley get a set of rims with Slicks and a change of brake pads as a starter.
