335d M-Sport Touring - Fair Price?

Due to an ever expanding family I'm probably going to have to sell my 335d as there's no way it will fit three big car seats in the back. The current plan is to replace my car and my wife's car with a "sporty" people carrier (probably S-Max 2.5T) and buy a roadster (Boxster-S or maybe Z4-M) for some weekend fun.

The dealer I bought my car from is interested in bidding on it (and even more interested in selling me a Z4!) and is going to get back to me with a price, but I would be interested in other opinions on a fair price. Details of my car as follows:

BMW 335d M-Sport Touring
Le Mans Blue with full black leather
December 2006, 56 Plate
Under 8k miles
Professional Sat-Nav
Panoramic glass sunroof
Xenon lights with high-beam assist
Upgraded hi-fi
Front and rear parking sensors
1 owner from new (me!) and in mint condition with not a single ding/scrape anywhere or mark on the alloys

Alternatively, if anyone has any contacts with the trade who deal in this sort of car, they would be gratefully received.

£29k, but the dealer will offer you around £26-£27k.

With regards to the z4m, if your buying new, they are not worth £10K more than the exceptionally good z4 3.0Si. If you must have one though, they can be bought from main dealers for around £32995 at less than a year old.

£26-27k for the 335d would be a very big "ouch". I'd probably try my luck at a private sale before letting it go for that.

If I went for a Z4M it almost certainly wouldn't be a new one as has been pointed out the initial depreciation on them seems to be horrendous. If dealers are offering year old cars for £30k I hate to think what they paid the owner for them!

Thanks for the thought of the 3.0si pgilc - it sounds worth a look then. I've just looked up its tech specs and another point in its favour is the emissions - it's under the 225g/km figure so not in the firing line for the punitive taxes which are being introduced (which was one reason I bought the 335d in the first place).

Have you considered the M Coupe? Older but considered a much better car. A mint example will set you back around 16k.

No way would I buy a Z3MC over a Z4MC.

I drove an M Coupe back in 2000. It was a really fun car and I nearly bought one, but plumped for an Evo 6 instead on the back of an adrenalin fuelled test drive at Ralliart.

But this time around I'm after a roadster, and ideally something new-ish with warranty.

Does it have Bluetooth? You don't mention it in your spec.
