X5 re-map

On the 2001-2003 X5 diesel (the 184bhp model) how much extra power is available through re-mapping? And does anyone have performance stats for the re-map?
I'm trying to talk myself into the diesel rather than the V8 due to running and depreciation costs. Of course the V8s are cheaper in the first place...
