I'm looking for a fast cheap convertible, pre 2001 & max 3.0 to avoid the £ 25 London congestion charge, and am amazed to see 1994/6 M3's being sold via dealers with 3 months warranty for around £ 6k.

Are these going to be totally thrashed, need exp work in due course, or could they be a good used buy?

can anyone point me towards a reliable used guide, and non-franchise dealer around london/southampton/m3?

thanks

There are litterally hundreds of guides in this very ///M forum and on some of the dedicated ///M fora.

I actually think 6k would net you the best 3.0 cab, but I would stay clear of traders at this sort of price.

If you want, drop me a line and I'll give you all the info you could possibly need.

Oh and welcome to PH thumbup

I have a 1994 M3 convertible 3.0L for sale very soon.

Avus blue with silver leather in excellent condition and currently sitting at just over 39k on odometer.

I need to purchase a diesel car for work as I have recently changed positions and am doing in excess of 500 miles per week. I cannot justify piling on the mileage in such a fine car, but, cannot afford to run two cars either.

I was looking to sell her in the region of £7.5 - £8.0k.

I am based in stone, staffs.

Give me a bell if of any interest, or drop me line.

Simon.
