This is a common problem, and there's nothing you can do about it other than be REALLY gentle and smooth with the throttle pedal espcially when starting from cold. Make sure you've got Sport mode turned off, as that makes it worse. Manual cars also do this, but you have the option of feathering a clutch a bit to smooth things out, which you don't have with SMG.

yep not much you can do you'll get used to it after a week and be able to drive a lot smoother - that is until you reach a mini roundabout and it decides to change down resulting in some kangarooing !

Seriously it won't even bother you after a week or so.

Does the car throw up any error codes on the diagnostics machine? How does the car run when hot?

The car 'learns' its values/levels once the car is hot so if something is not right then (O2, throttle position sensor) it will effectivley guess the required settings for during its cold running/warm up period - the time you experience this bunny hopping.
I would start with claning the MAF sensor.

The problems you are experiencing are clearly common.
