any views on the james bond 730i V8 Auto as a bargin barge?

Perfect for the job, only issue is that's a nikasil risk engine so you'd need to dig a bit deeper in to any cars history to see if it's had it's engine replaced by BMW at some point. Having said that, if it's still running OK now quite some years after the whole nikasil scare then it should be OK. If you can find/afford one though, go for a later 735 ('96 on) as these have alusil blocks and a touch more oomph wink Check out my profile for my 735i blog. On real cost is petrol frown

I had one. Good for 200K miles. Expect 21 mpg. I now have a 728 sport, which is nearly as much grunt but manages 29 mpg.

Cant knock em.

Its a 1995 730i V8, the idea of that bargin barge, cruising. Bored of the high reving civic, just got to convince the wife ha ha
