Must admit my network skills are pretty basic, so was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction:

I have two ADSL routers connected to two different ADSL lines (don't ask) and a seperate wireless router.

I'd like to hook up my laptop via wifi to the wireless router - no problem.
I'd like the wireless routers to use both the ADSL routers - all connected by ethernet.

How do i setup my routers to do this:
just plug them all into each other and see what happens ?
Which router do I use as a DHCP server ?
Do I need to setup routing tables ?
Is the routing going to end up using one ADSL connection only until that fails or has a heavy load ?

You need a load balancing piece of hardware ideally to properly utilise both adsl lines.

How far apart are the two adsl lines physically?

Alternatively, sell your equipment and buy something like this:-

Thanks Tom,

The ADSL lines are about 2 inches apart.

Nice looking kit - looks like exactly what I need thanks. The possibility of a 3G link up is an interesting bonus.

No Problem smile

They just released (like 2 days ago) the 2820vn that has VOIP as well for an extra £13 but I'd wait a few months until they have a super stable firmware for that. I've got a 2820n, bought it as soon as they were out last month and it has been rock solid. The Drayteks far far exceed any consumer level routers and I wouldnt go back to one now. I've pulled 300 gig over the WAN link, concentrated over about 12 days and its been up for over 1000 hours now. It never really even gets warm, let alone hot like most off the shelf routers do.

Let me know if you need any help setting it up once/if you get it thumbup
