I know this has been done over and again!

But I'd like to know is it possible to get a 53 plate coupe with FSH on average milage, SAT-NAV and 19's for up to £17k??

My mate has been looking on here and autotrader but cant seem to match everything he wants with the right year/spec/price.

Thanks.

I'd say it's possible if you look hard enough and wait long enough. I've just picked up a facelift '03 model with the extras you mentioned (plus CSL wheels) for under £18k. Absolutely loving it smile

Thanks mate!

I was a bit rushed yesterday when I wrote the thread.
Basicly My mate wants pretty much a fully loaded facelift (53 if poss) model e46 m3 with average milage and FSH for £17k

We've been looking for a week or 2 but not quite finding what we want.
Is it worth looking at the £18k+ ones and look to knocking the price down? I see loads of e46's for sale so whats it like selling one? Are there many buyers about, or is it hard to get interest coz of the numbers for sale??

Thanks again!

Hi Playo

I have just gone through this process myself (and am picking up my M3 at the weekend woohoo). If your friend is looking for a good example, fully loaded facelift, I think he will find it difficult to find one for £17k unless he gets lucky and happens to find someone looking to sell theirs quickly. Fully loaded facelifts are around the £20k plus mark at the moment from what I could see.

Not a realistic budget for a good car. You might get a decent 2001 for that price.

Yeah agreed. There are plenty of M3s out there, but the good ones will go for a bit more (and it's well worth paying the extra). I saw numerous examples that had just not been looked after when I was searching.

Thanks guys! I thought he was being slightly optmistic.

He's been talikng to the owner of this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/460065.htm

Who said he'd sell for £15800, which seems good enough to me for the condition, ok it's not a face lift but I think he'd do well to at least go for a veiwing!??
