the girl from work has just bought a new set of 18inch alloys for her bmw.
the garage she got them from said they where m series replicas. however ive had a look at them and there is no m series badge on them or doesnt appear to be any slot to stick the badges on.

i always thought bmw m series parts (ie alloys had the m badge on them)

do all M series alloy wheels come with the trademark M?

Depends which ones and whether tyres, new/used.

I bought E90/E92 as new OEM with as new RFT for 800 off ebay.

From a dealer they would be more than double that.

I personally wouldnt buy reps.

Take one of the wheels off, and look at the markings stamped near the hub. If it lacks any BMW logo and especialy if there is a random brand name printed (except maybe BBS or such) the wheels are probably replicas and she's been ripped off big time.

It'd seem from the price differential on online aution sites, there is indeed a fair bit of difference between OEM and reps.
Also a good deal of the reps don't offer the staggered setup for the E46.
I'm currently looking but wouldn't touch reps.
