Hi There. I'm new to the forum and hope you may be able to help.I would like to change to 'proper' tyres on my 335d M Sport touring and get rid of the run flats. Does anybody have any information on the issues involved. Will the standard wheels take conventional tyres or is it neccessary to change the wheels as well? Is the handling effected? All I get from the dealer is blah! blah! warranty blah! no problems with run flats.blah! No? Like where do you find a tyre at 1am in Central France?
Thanks

You can put "normal" tyres on the wheels - no problem. You'll need a tyre goo emergency jobby, or a runflat in the boot. plenty of people rekon ride is improved, and the tyres are cheaper. There is an argument that the car was designed to run on them - but you should be fine.

Do BMW do a spacesaver for the 335 that you could just throw in the boot? That would be my choice but they dont make one to fit over the brakes of my car - the 335 may be the same.
Would save on tyreweld which is a total pig to get off i have heard.
