Fiesta 1.25 Zetec 'hunting'

Hi,

I've was driving my girlfriends 02 plate Fiesta, and it is running horribly. Under any load the engine hunts throughout the rev range and never really clears. It feels underpowered to the point of been dangerous. I think it probably a fuelling issue, but where is the best place to start? Plugs? Leads?
I'm hoping its down to crappy supermarket fuel - Or is this an urban myth?

Hmm, given that 2 people on here have (very recently) had Fester 1.25 fuelling problems which were traced to the Air Flow Meter, I would be strongly considering that. Is it struggling above 3000 rpm? Bad fuel consumption?
