I own a 55 plate E46 330Cd M-Sport. I'm about to get a DMS chip fitted. I'm currently insured with Direct Line, does anyone know of any reputable/main stream insurers that will understand this type of mod and realise I'm not a boy racer blah blah blah. Any help would be appreciated

Not sure if you consider A-Plan to be main stream enough, but they have been good for me the last few years. Admittedly I don't have a remapped car etc., but you can actually talk to someone who understands about cars rather than a "computer says no" type of insurance place.

Thanks very much for that. I'll give A-Plan a ring.

Definitely give A-Plan a call. I am with them for my supercharged Z4, they understood every modification and replace like for like in the event of an accident.

A lot of the online companies give the option for you to include mods now. They don't always have a dreadful impact on price. Try an accumulator like confused.com

I got loads of ok quotes for my lotus which has a few mods.
