To red rose or not to red rose
Discussion
Have to replace my head gasket, as head has to come off etc etc, was wondering if I should do the red rose conversion at the same time. Anyone any idea what the additional cost would be if the head has to come off anyway? Is this a factory conversion or a specialist firm? If several people do it any recommendations?
I would have thought head gasket replacement would be fairly cheap.
The Red Rose conversion would cost you 4k+VAT, and they would be essentially fixing the head gaskets for free, as well as getting a bunch of fresh stuff. That makes it a moderately expensive gasket repair though!
If you intend to keep the car a few more years, have spare cash, and really think it needs more power, then go for it! Otherwise spend it on suspension, a bunch of tyres and track days. imho.

Not another 20bhp Anjum - both cars that have had RR before and after (mine and Julian's - see sprint) gained at least 50bhp. His was 320 in the first place so gained over 90!
However, doesn't really make it any quicker on the road sub 100mph - just wheelspins more. I don't regret it because it was fun, but the suspension was definitely the best mod, followed by the amazing brakes (which I still have if anyone wants!). Even the Xenon lights were probably more practical.
Or save up the money and buy something truly track oriented, if that's what you've been using the Cerbera for.
danny

Wow 4.5K+VAT. Would you not be better fitting nitrous oxide??? The systems you get these days are fully adjsutable in terms of their boost output or extra bhp. You could kit out your whole car for less than 1000 quid. Then the next time you see a McLaren F1 you can toast his ass!!! Anyone c the bit on Top Gear a few months back with the old Jag??? COmpletely blew away a 911 Turbo over 1 mile.

I believe NOS is illegal to use on the road?
Mind you just disguise the bottle as scuba gear by having it painted and you are well away
