Are you supprised? The R32 weighs 1500Kg's and has 240bhp, the only way it would have a chance is in the wet, mine turns up in 2 weeks and it is good as a quick 4 seater that can fit the shopping in, but proper quick it isn't, that's what the Noble is for

Yep

Have a Honda CTR at the moment and am auditioning several replacements.

CTR again -
Focus RS -
Scooby - Been there but a wagon might be on the cards
R32 - yet to drive - got one booked

Got to be a goodly quick hatch or estate the is a little different AND have over 200bhp

Not asking for much am I?

PS - I dont pay for the petrol except for emiisions and tax, which is enough

about 22K limit on the allowance

any other ones?

If it doesn't have to be new how about a Mitsubishi Legnum (Galant estate) VR4?

I bought the wife one and it's indecently quick. 280bhp, 4WD, Anti-yaw, traction control etc. Very nicely put together, reliable, nice styling (IMHO) and not too boring to drive. It's just what you need to carry the family around in, quickly. Apparently they're good for 160mph but the roads over here are too small to try it!

Try a Skyline R33 GTS-T

Seats four, quite a bit of bootspace, quite quick, can be tuned stupidly if you have spare cash or are bored

New Seat Leon Cupra R

225 bhp - 5 door hatch, looks are pretty good

£17-18k depending how you haggle.

or even standard Cupra 180bhp visually near the same,

£14k new, on the road if you find the right Seat dealer.

Don't let the price put you off, it is not cheap car, but incredible value for money. MUCH better than my old golf vr6 in all areas, for a lot less money.

Most of the parts are the same as golf/A3, just visually imho, it is better than either and basically both Cupras have the Audi TT engines (same outputs)
