Having had my GT03 1mth and done 2k miles I had my first issue yesterday in that it wont start on the button or key but will bump start instantly.
Bit of an issue as I an now in the US for a week and when I return next weekend I leave for a trip around europe in the car the next day.

Still better it happend before I went rather than during the trip and it must be something simple... its gone into Kerridges to sort while I am away.

Other than this small issue (which I would have sorted myself if I had time) the 1st month of ownership has been awsome, I've been really impressed with how good the car is and how usable everyday it is proving.... I'm even getting good MPG.

Anyhow, Just had a 24k service done on it at Kerridges even tho its only done 13k now just to be sure... but any advice on must take maintenance things for my trip around europe, like litre of oil etc??

Never hurts to take a bit of oil.
My doors are always full of screwdrivers, allen keys and the odd spanner.
Still got a bottle of antifreeze from when I had a coolant leak.

Your issue sounds similar to mine. No action at all when I turned the key - ended up being one of the big fuses in the engine bay had gone pop.

did yours crank over fine or was it totally dead on the key.... mine cranks over but wont fire... soon as you bump it starts instantly. sounds like a fuse or relay on the strat button to me but just didn't have any time to look at it.

Need a pair of tyres on the rear as well.... thinking Goodyear F1's rather than Bridgstone or Pirelli... I have Bridge S03's on front and want something that lasts well as I use it everyday but still want some level of decent handling from them.

For the trip around Europe make sure you've got the right equipment for each country - Warning triangles, spare bulbs etc. You're easy pickings for the BiB in each country if you don't.

A list of places that could deal with your car if you have a major breakdown is always useful. There's nothing worse than being stuck in Zagreb with no details on where to go and your croatian extends to "beer" and "thank you"...(I speak from experience!)

Oil is definitely useful and can be horribly expensive aboard. (If you can find the right grade. I had to buy some from a main dealer in Munich)

You'll need all your documentation too - Not photocopies (Although a few of those won't hurt either).

Ahh, mine was totally dead - no crank at all. Got the fuel pump noise but it acted like it was immobilised. Cranking without firing up sounds more like fuel pump, but it bump starts. I'll let someone else take over from here as my mechanical knowledge is limited.

I went for Bridgestones mainly because that's what was on it when I bought it. They seem OK and wear reasonably well. They're OK for my use.

That starting thing happened to mine, would bump fine but wouldn't turn over with the key or button, along with all the lights going off (inc dash lighting) if you tried to use full beam - went back to the factory and they had to get an auto electrician in to trace everything back to bad wiring in the steering column.
