Went to the Isle of Wight for a short break with the family last week and tried some Minghella ice cream. It's produced on the Island and it's by far the nicest I've eaten in a long time.

Favourite I had was the strawberries and cream which has little fruit bits in it.

Anybody know of any stockists near London?

Also please recommend any other decent ice creams. To start, I'll also suggest trying Fouberts which is just off the Chiswick High Road.

That's coz it is the best ice cream in the world, far better than all those fancy US ones the supermarkets are full of! lick

Now, whilst I don't really approve of you north islanders eating our good stuff, I'll give you a clue where you can get some, wink

I'm pretty sure I saw a cafe in Kingston Upon Thames that sold Minghella ice cream, I remember thinking it's a slightly odd name smile
Let me know if you remember which one- I spend a fair bit of time in Kingston and don't remember seeing it around. Nothing in Kingston is listed on their stockists list either.

Big Lepton, thanks for that site, couple of places listed aren't too far. In the absence of getting hold of some of this stuff, I feel a trip coming on to get some Fouberts.

It's owned and run by the mom and dad of Anthony Minghella, the recently deceased film director.
