That looks like a very nice example, although the market is not good for these big motors at the moment.
Ironically big Holdens and HSV's do tend to keep better re-sale values in Aus and NZ than what big cars do over here.

Many thanks. It is a nice tidy one.
Fortunately the V5 makes no reference to a C02 figure/band, so it doesn't get sucked into the stupid tax rules.
I'm thinking I should be making more of a point of that, on the basis the potential fuel bills are possibly scaring some buyers away!
15 people watching the eBay auction now, although I'm sure a large percentage of those are non-buyers who have a curiousity to it's final value/worth.

Yep, not a single supercharged one for sale here but a standard one would be asking $35-40K ie £16-20K

If I hadn't have just bought my GTS-R I would definately have given you full price in cash - lovely example must go to a HSV fan.

Nice Car.
Could you show a picture of the damaged bolster.
What does road tax cost per year on it?

I'll get pictures up of the bolster for you this evening and confirm road tax cost at that time also.
Thanks everyone for your kind comments and interest.

As requested, please find below some pics of the bolster wear mentioned in the eBay advert, along with a shot of the passenger side bolster, which is indicative of the rest of the (immaculate) interior.

The last road tax cost was £101.75 for 6 months, which equates to a yearly cost of £185.00, as opposed to the £400 per year which a car with emissions greater than 225(g/km) would attract.

30 watchers and still no bids frown
Is £12k really not a realistic price or is it just a total mission to sell these cars?

When i was selling my Monaro on ebay i had 120 watchers and no bids, i think a lot of people are worried about the "credit crunch" at the min and the last thing they want is a big juicy motor imo.

Problem is, most of them could be HSV owners just interested to see what it makes. I go on there and watch compressor prices with no intenetion of buying.
I think you need to be patient with this one. There will be only a few true petrol heads about who are not bothered about the cost of ownership and would like something special/different. But out of 60 million people, it's finding them.
As a matter of interest, see if it comes up on Ozzy ebay. Was down at Monkfish yesterday and Roger says things are really tough on these cars at the moment.

Stick out for top money - £12k is a give away.

Bear in mind there's only 5 VX GTS's and 2 GTS-R's in the UK, that must be worth something!

Well, it didn't go via eBay.
However, I've been contacted by two guys via eBay since auction end, and another chap from here, so it looks like there should be movement this week. Thanks everyone for your advice/kind words of support.

Hi everyone hopefully Im the person going to get the car tomorrow as long as all goes to plan.

What a pain it was sorting out insurance on this thing but Simon recommeded greenlight and they have done a very good quote.

Anyways ill get some pictures up tomorrow if all goes as planned and there is no issues.

A little more about me my names Chris and Im really into my cars, I currently have a MG ZS 180 Mk2 which I've just had resprayed but the holden is to replace this as my daily car.

But my main toy is my Toyota Supra MkIV which is a Jap Twin Turbo which is also modified and about to go Single

As you can see not so into my suttle cars I like something a bit different so the holden fits are mark, hopefully just do some basic upgrades to it like AP Brake kit and Exhaust system.

Im sure im be on the forum a fair bit so ill post up some pictures as soon as i actuall have the car.
