I'm off to Florida tomorrow and had read in various sources that there may be bargains to be had on the property front. Has anybody had any experience in this area? Any reputable companies you could recommend? Ideally I'd like an agent to show me what's available, then I can decide if I think it is a bargain!

TIA

Tim

They're still falling.

You can get a 1000sqft condo for around £13K at the minute but even they are falling.

Orlando.

Not at the end of International admittedly but not too far from the parks.

Not thought that far ahead. Just an idea I'm kicking about and not done any research yet. My parents looked at it about 3 years ago when developments were going up at a fantastic rate and the price lists were being revised upwards every week / month. Seemed cheap what with the exchange rate (2.00+) and the market in the UK but also looked like a classic bubble and they steered clear.

Went 18 months ago and the estate we rented on was deserted. 75% of the drives had no cars on and, say, 10% had notices on the garage door which my parents told me was a notice that some tax hadn;t been paid and the property would be reclaimed (or something like this).

Thanks all for the input.

Cheers

So where are these cheap condos from £13k ?

I wouldn't mind just having one as a long term investment even if it is empty 51 weeks of the year and I would use it for 1 week ?

Any websites.

Are the new build/off plans also cheap now ?

I'm off to orlando tomorrow as it happens. We've got timeshare there and it now seems we could have bought a property for less than what we paid for our timeshare! Oh well, I'm not bitter!
