following on from my earlier thread the E30 M3 i was having resprayed is now almost finished, couple of bits if plastic to go on the underside and a few interior and engine bay bits to sort but other than that its done.

Huge thanks to the guys at munich legends for sorting out all the parts even when it was 50p screws and washers

and www.sprcoachworks.co.uk for doing a really good job of the paintwork.

Excellent mate you must be well chuffed.

Didn't take you long either.

It certainly looks a good paint job.

Cheers for the replies, really glade to have it back.

I painted the exhausts matt back which i though was how they came on the standard M3, either way it wasn't going to polish up!

Where abouts is the meet?

I was thinking about going to the Goodwood revival but not 100% sure yet.

The exhaust tip is black on my Evo2....and having seen a few other Evo2s I suspect that may be the general case for this model....

(The M3 in the OP looks nice...see you at the meet)

thanks, there's a thread here http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t... showing the work which has been done, nothing major other than the scuttle and chopping out a few other rust bits.

Don't think I'm going to make it to the meet as my mate has ordered the tickets for Goodwood but will definitely try and get to the next one.

The exhaust in the link looks like an SE rear box, which have chromed tips/outlets.

Andy,

The S14power meet will be at Newlands Corner in Surrey - check out the meeting section on the website.

Cheers,

PS I think I met you at Surrey RR - I had the Black E30 M3.

Hmmm..well mine was a 215bhp 'Late Model'. That was the rear box that was on it when I bought the car in about 2001 (IIRC) and I never changed it. As the car was alreayd 11 years old when I got it I guess it could have been changed prior to me buying it.

I think yours is probably original. I think some of the models had a different coloured tip....my friend's evo sport has silver tips....it could be that mine is the different one...though other Evo2s were also black...maybe it is just this model.
