To all the drivers in the Tuscan Challenge Series.

Congratulations to Lee Caroline Tuscan Champion for 2003 Well Done Lee .

And a brilliant 2nd to our Boy Wonder David Mason

But, on behalf of Mid Essex TVRcc a big vote of thanks to all the drivers for a hugely entertaining year of Tuscan racing.

What will we do with ourselves until the start of the next season.........

Agreed. One of the best seasons for some years.

Let's hope Tuscans and GTs stay on the same schedule for next year.

And a great tenth for No6 was it graham hill bend on the last lap where you snuck through.

Only been to three meets this year and they where excellent.

Shame the Big three in the GT couldnt battle it out right to the end today though.

Well done Lee Caroline! Thanks to Insane Racing for a great year. Thanks to Inweb and all other sponsors. Thanks to No5 and No29 for keeping us entertained.

Thanks to Abby, Roger, George and Natalie. I am only sorry we could not run Mark.

See you at the TVR party on the 31st Jan 04

Thanks BB. It was Clearways/Clarke Curve (i.e. the last corner onto the start finish straight) on the penultimate lap that I nipped past Jan under braking. Darren had a puncture and was slowing all the time - might have had ninth if we had another half a lap. But happy with tenth - particularly after the DNF on Saturday. The Gods were smiling on me - the front left hub sheared off coming onto the straight - leaving me with no steering and no brakes. Pretty scary and had it happened anywhere else on the circuit I would have hit a barrier

Great to see everyone from PH - thanks to BigM for the chocolate fairy cakes - much appreciated

Also big thanks to Uncle Rodney. He loaned me a set of wets which enabled me to swap my new ones for new slicks saving some £££'s. And when my gearbox went in testing he loaned me his spare. So I won't mention humble pie, even though you'll have seen No 6 lining up in front of No29 on the Feature Race grid (Respect though No29 - 7th place from 19th on the grid - good darts sir)

Also thanks to Dennis from Peninsular for the loan of a hub which got me out for the feature race.

My pile of scrap from the weekend includes a gearbox, diff, hub, brake calliper, brake disc, brake pads, wheel bearings, wheel studs. Oh, and a new hinge for the doors of the Kentagon Bar. But that's a different story

Quite sad its all over for the year....

29

I was tempted to post several of the above quotes, but I didn't want to offend any of you by excluding your kind words and comments, so to all "thanks"

Pack it in no:6, you'll have me in tears if you keep on, I mean, what's a set of wets and a gearbox between good friends, for you have earnt my trust in that department, and I suppose I will have to admit that your turning into a damn good Tuscan driver, well It must be so If you managed to keep me behind you for a lap or two, cause I'm really good

By the way, the nickname thing, Ram Raider...., ooh, a bit to macho for you mate, people need to know about your sensitive side, so how does " claude ram dam" sound, hard and mean yeah, I certainly wouldn't want to be a beaver in your neck of the lake.

Well now for the serious bit, this will be the final posting for Tuscan 29 and it's driver 29, for my TVR racing days have come to an end and It's time to move on. I hope to start posting soon on the GT threads as that is where we are going in 2004, but I'll need a new "style" and as yet I don't know enough about what we are doing to decide on a "tag". So cheers all, I'll look in from time to time and if tempted will pop up under ssshh, you know who.

Farewell one and all and remember "Man with finger up nose may have been trying to make a point and missed"

Well, I don't care to comment on the man with his finger up his nose but I will say the one thing that will be missed is the presence of Tuscan 29 on the grid and in the Tuscan forum.

Good luck in GT Rod from everyone from Mid Essex TVRcc (even though you won't be racing TVRs!!!!! .........
