On now, the Home Show C4. The couple are petrol heads with five cars including a TVR. Anyone know if they are PH'ers?

just watched it on channel 4 +1

i thouhgt the house was good, as in what he did with the kitchen/dinning room/lounge

but the other rooms were just boxes, upstairs was tiny

the house wouldnt really be suitable for children (i think they said they were planning for them in the future) bedrooms were far to small

and i was really annoyed they dubbed down the cerb coming in, i was waiting for the rumble and the neighbours alarms going off but they made it wisper quiet frown

and not just related to this episope
the architect/designer bloke has a thing for taking down walls and replacing them with RSJs, i hope he knows what hes doing

and what is the point in that women, the one that goes to other countries and looks at mega million pound mansions and then says you could buy a similar look for some ridiculus price like £2000 for a lamp etc

and to the home owners, if your on here (you have a cerb) do you get payed for going on the program? do they make a contribution?
is it really how it appears in the show?

I think the advantage is that for your cash you aren't paying for any of Georges project managing skills, architects fee's, you also get his buying power and none of the hassle with the builders....worth about £1.3 trillion of any ones hard earned surely?

She really is a waste of space. Like a semi in Streatham is ever going to look authentically Moroccan just because they put up a £10 metal lamp. Duh. Nice bit of magnolia, that's what you need... biglaugh

Those would be the same project management skills which cut the brief in half before even starting and then ran out of cash so couldn't complete the job!

Bad design, bad use of space, bad project management. Worst episode of the series so far IMO.

Happens nearly every week. As an architect, Georg really should spot the glaringly obvious 'extras' when designing the projects. Like last nights extra steel needed for the foundations on the extension.

I know this is going to sound a bit sacreligous, but why didnt he sell a couple fo his cars to get the budget for the build up, and then finish the garage.

And are building steels really that expensive?? They didnt seem to be too complicated to me, and yet they came in at £10k.

Get rid of the 3 series, but a cheap e39 or something, you've freed up 10k towards the garage!

(Might be a co. car though).

Of course maybe he knew that if he freed up 10k in cars ti would disappear into the downstairs bathroom and he'd never have got his garage, nor his cars?
