I picked up the 944 last night. It has come with some spare parts that I don't need, but I have no idea of their value. I was going to advertise them here on PH.

I've got a set of 16" Teledial wheels
Snow chains for the standard wheels
Roof rack.

The guy I got the car from used to drive it off to his skiing holidays

Any ideas of their values?

And no "It's all worth a tenner, and I'll buy it" replies please

With regard to the wheels they seem to go between £80 - £200, but it depends on condition. A lot of people buy them specifically for track days and are not too fussy

No idea about the snow chains/roof rack - as you said you don't need them - not sure that many people will.

Try PH, if that fails e-b@y.

Good luck - hope you enjoy your new toy.

The wheels are in top nick, and the tyres are almost new, so I'll probably stick them on for about £150 then.

I got the documentation for the car this morning. 1 owner from new. All MOT's. Even the original price list, catalogue and bill of sale )

Now I just need to find a working engine for it

I doubt the teledials are worth 150 - Iguana has a set for sale at 50 - but no harm trying

Snow chains and roof rack probably worth 20 and 50 repsectively to the right people. I would suggest Porsche Post classifieds (PCGB mag), free classifieds for members.

Good luck with the 944 project and selling the bits.

Thanks Domster. I'll amend the advert then

Now I've got to search around and find a new engine. The one in the car is lunched. Bores are badly scored.

as a professional roofrack trader, I can assure you it is only worth a tenner. I will do you a favour and take it off your hands.
But as that approach is unlikely to work, what type of rack is it? I shudder at the thought of fitting one to my 944 but it would be handy.
Are you anywhere near Bucks/Berks?

It's the proper Porsche roofrack. More than that I can't tell you right now, as I haven't seen it yet (should be geting hold of it in the next couple of days theough).

I'm in Hants, so pretty nearby.

OK James. Assuming its a rail type rack I would be interested as I need something that I can attach a bike carrier to.

When I get hold of it, I'll let you know what type it is and we can arrange to meet up somewhere.

Good idea. Maybe I should keep it, and rent it out at a tenner a time
