Ho Ho Ho!

Thought it's sort of the end of the week.

Bike is tucked away in the garage awaiting his crimbo presents, bar ends and cluch and brake leavers. And a new chain and sprocket set!

Spending crimbo with Trumpet and my brother in law and sister and half of Threshers. Hic

Have a lovely bikey crimbo guys and gals and be safe.

The weather is realy mild up here in Scotland so me and a few mates are taking the bikes for a run to blow out the cobwebs this Christmas weekend.

Happy Christmas every one.

Well, Santa knows I want a new bike, so see what happens. Although I have a funny feeling he's got me pants and socks again! Might have a look at something though.

I'm stripping down the rear swing arm and greasing the bearings and linkages, plus an oil and filter change.
Should keep me quiet for a few hours!

Does drinking and eat lots count?

As usual I need to fix the dam bike. I know what to do, how to do it, the parts to do it, but not the effort to do it. I need Incentive.

Does anyone want to swap for a Ducati if i get mine fixed?

Continuing the rebuild on the VFR.

Should get carbs on, and may make a start on the (custom) exhaust.

Bike is going to get it's winter wash over the next few days. All the dead bugs on the front of it have gone moldy and furry! And there are lots of bugs!

And if it stays mild, and the local councils don't get the gritters out, I'll take it out for a run.

Finishing off fitting the HID lights to both bikes on Saturday, and will then give them a quick trial in the dark. Then giving the bikes a good clean, and then putting them away for a while....... BOO!!!

Have another knee operation booked for January 16th and probably won't get to ride again til end of February.....

Should be out down to Alton (Loomies) with some friends on either the 3rd or 4th depending on the weather.

Lots of cleaning stuff to do for me on the Falco. Thorough clean of the bike, clean the pistons on the front brakes, clean up the bobbins on the front discs and clean up the swinging arm when I replace the rivet link in the chain because it's this that's causing the tight spot in the chain I think. Then brake fluid change, oil change, throttle body balance and depending on how I feel check the valve clearences. Finally check the bike will pass its MOT and find somewhere to do it in the new year. If I've got any spare time I'm going to dig out the bits for the R1 front end for the SV and get the forks off the K-tech to be built.

Have a great Christmas bikers, may santa bring you many shiny things! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Steve.

I'm hopefully buying my first bike - just a CG125 for the wife and I to practice on before doing DAS in February, but exciting nonetheless!

Since I've got a (rare) run of 4 days orf I'm sort of hoping for one of those nice dry but crisp winter days & me & wifey might just go ta ta's on bikeys.

Otherwise a couple of hours unpaid driving instruction for offspring -all nicely preceded by:

1. Pies-of the mince variety
2. "Loving" every prezzy given to me wink !!
3. Lubricating..........the inner man drinkthumbup

Hope you all have a good 'un- 'cos I'm off home in 25 mins. woohoo

Seen a few bikes on the road today, due to the mild weather. A nice y-reg fireblade on the M1 (between 12 and 13).

I'll try to get out to blow away the cobwebsover the break. Fortunately, the salt spraying doesn't seem to have happene yet.

I am thinking to take it out to blow the cobwebs off providing that the salt is away and the farmers do not mess the roads too much.

Next week would have taken it to AMS but it is likely to be cold and salty so that is not possible.
