You can't stay off those circuits, can you Mark?

PS It was me in my red Golf GTi runabout who was waving at you on the motorway yesterday (assuming you had the **RSR numberplate).

No I can't - love it too much

On the M25 - I thought it was you!

How was your day? Not about to purchase a TVR then?!

Was a good day - shame the GT3 conked out - not as reliable as those old RSs

Will defo have to blag a ride next time - your car does look the business without air vents inside the cabin etc, and not even a blanking plate in sight

The T350C was an interesting drive - probably quite quick in the right hands, but the rears kept locking under moderate to heavy braking which would make it a badger's nightmare if you weren't careful. The gearbox had a baulky 2-3 change as well, and I thought the high tunnel and dash driving position a little odd. To be fair to the GT3 it also conked out, as well! (Electrical problem of some sort I was told).

Ultima was interesting - v difficult to drive compared to mortal machinery and couldn't use all the alleged 525bhp as rev limit of 4k. Still happy with my choice tho'.

Paulc's 964RS was great for a pax lap - wonderful to be back in one again, and it felt QUICK. Only 295bhp but felt more rapid than the Baron used to.

Impressed as well by Mart1n's Elise S2. A wise man having the 996tt for road use and an Elise 135 for track fun. Balance and grip of the Elise was v impressive, much better than I remember from having driven an S1 on road.

Domster,

Glad you enjoyed your brief trip in my RS. Shame I missed you later in the day once I got upto full Bedford Hooning speed. You should blag a ride with MarkH, who managed to reel me in over a couple of laps and was not hanging around for anyone...!

My 'only' 295bhp is all courtesy of those very nice guys at 9M. I'll add that the 295 was achieved with no hot film or MOTEC, just the following.

9M larger thottle body + chip.
Cup bypass.
K&N.
Drilled standard airbox.

Surely not the same 9M who posts here?

Yoooo guys!

Was impressive tho'. I'm sure Colin has an M48 on the shelf with your name on it, along with 6 bigger injectors...

Surely the main gain is achieved from the throttle body and chip, the other bits are just part of the package.

I'm always interested as to how individual components improve the power delivery, but am generally a sceptic when it comes to things like airfilters. K&N always seems very popular but my tiny brain just can't get my head around it

I have about the same power! But to be fair I was on Pirelli Corsa's and Paul was on ROAD tyres.
