Making sense of E90 prices/updates

Hi

I 'need' to replace my E46 330d touring

Im looking at ex-demo/newish s/h cars

My short list is 335d, 335i and the new facelifted 330d with the updated engine

What I cant be sure of is when did the 330d get the new engine and how can I tell?
Did it come with the facelift or was it available before this?

It seems obvious that the 335d must be due for a new engine soon as there doesnt seem to be much splitting the 2 at the moment
Is this the case and if so is there a link I can look at the verify the legitimacy of the gossip?

Finally are AUC's open to negotiation currently?
The prices from bmw.co.uk seem okish however Id be grateful if anyone who has recently bought an expensive 3 series could share their opinion

Ahhhh sorted

My confusion is that the facelift E90/91 started production in Sept 08 but have only very recently been available from dealers

So it looks like I should give it a little longer before seeking an ex demo or s/h car

The stats just seem so good for the facelift that Im struggling to justify a 335d
