I've just picked up a diff, but the part numbers listed on it don't tie up with anything on RealOEM.

On it it has printed:

2282191
2229745

If you spin either side of it the other side rotates in the same direction, so that means LSD from memory.

Any ideas what it's from? It was advertised as being from an E46 M3, but that's a different p/n...

I was under the impression that the E46 M3 came with the highly elaborate 'M Differential Lock', so I doubt that something which behaves like a conventional LSD is off an E46 M3.

The M diff has a variable lock too

One end is covered in fins, yes.
