Santa Pod have kindly said they will let us TVR's park in the Pits rather than the main car park. I've got 4 parking tickets spare (still gotta pay to get in though). If anyone is interested drop me a line throuh my profile and I'll tell you how to collect them on them day.

For those of us already going where do you think is the best place to meet up? I think we need to aim to get to the Pod for about 12:30.

Are we taking the M1 or the slower more fun route??

How about the Marriot as usual?

I think the slower route - not so many camera's I hope, as long as we get there by 12:30, we should be OK.

Yes the Marriott's a good idea, just need to work out times and find out where Ed and Slamm will be?

We're getting a new set of boots fitted to Mel's car at 9, then heading straight up to Castle, so should be there for about 10:30-11 I hope. Maybe we could all meet at Castle (as long as Tony promises not to spend ages trying to upgrade his Cerbie!) at 11?

Ed sounds like a great idea. Umm do you think I could pop up there early and book a test drive....

Are you an Mel coming in one or two cars? You'll be starting your own convoy I take it?

Yep, we're intending to take both cars to the Pod

Test drive sounds like a good idea - best leave your credit cards at home though!

What you like pimpster?? Saying that though, I do have a couple things I need to sort out when I'm there so what's the deal peeps? Are we all heading down to Castles and if so what time?

Meeting at Castle sounds like a good plan then. I'm hoping that we'll be there for about 10:30-11, so if we arrange to meet at 11, anyone who needs to sort stuff out can get there a bit earlier.

Hey,

If there's room for 1 more I can join you, I also need to go to Castle's on Saturday morning, so I'll see you all there!?

Wahoo! Washed the car last night and cleaned the interior, so she's fresh as a daisy and hopefully good for Saturday. Can't wait to join the convoy, I'll be taking it a bit easy tho', got to acclimatise...

Paul I can't get to see your pictures form work, so I'll have to have a look when I get home later.

Podie - where are your pictures? Especially the ones of room 2...

Yes it was a laugh wasn't it - I especially liked the mystery tour, as arranged by Ed's sat nav...

Hmm - I think I must have selected a hidden option - "scenic route"!

Still - it got us there OK, and back to the B&B afterwards!

Cheers for the Pit Passes, its a shame we didnt get a chance to meetup. We left at 19:30, and didnt actually get out of the raceway until 21:30 .. 2 hours queing in traffic waiting to get out. we watched the two jet cars racing, then made our way back to the car to que to leave, and watch the fireworks.

Must put Top Fuel Dragsters in the Diary for Next year ... probably the most awsome sight I have ever whitnessed

2 hours to get out?

We left just before 7 I think, and were sitting in the bar at the B&B by about 8:30.

I know what you mean about the Top Fuel cars though - totally awesome, as were the jet cars. You can't actually explain to people what they're like, as it is just unbelievable how loud and fast they are.

I had a look at the jet car when it was being towed back to the pits, and the driver actually sits right next to the engine!

Ed, yes the scenic route was certainly scenic and challenging.... TVR rallying? And I agree about the jet cars - you can't describe it can you? The European or World finals would be well worth a trip next year.

Yep I'm up for next years events...totally agree you have to be there to experience it, especially standing behind that jet car and then in a split second its gone past the 1/4 mile...you just can't explain it...amazing!

Come on podie show our fellow PH'ers that pic ...great weekend coupled with the PH'ers Caterham day on Sunday....

Top day boys and girls after eventually getting there (Ed, you got a reciept for that GPS unit batman?? )

Well, like said earlier, you can't explain to anyone what those JET cars are like without being there, crazy, bloody crazy, you remember when we turned up and couldn't see what was happening but the ground just shook like an earthquake and all that smoke!!! Well, I was about to turn round and get me and my Cerb outta there.

I had a really good day out with you guys, shame I didn't stay over, sounds like you had a good evening.

Some pics below. Oh and PODIE's found his new motor
