Looks like I'll be attending this years fun and frolics by myself as I appear to have rather unexpectedly become divorced.

Ah...

Bugger..

Anyone in need of a ticket? May aswell pass it along to someone that can make use of it..

Psychobert, that is probably the most calm and collected post of it's type that I have ever seen. Handled with the aplomb of "I say, I seemed to have stubbed my toe there..." or "Yes, yes. I woke up this morning and, well, one bath towel too many..." You are single handedly maintaining the reputation for calmness under fire that all British men are known for world wide. Worth a beer at BTaP methinks

Classic

Thanks folks.. In truth, I am gutted; thought this was going to last for a long while yet. The conversation over the last month has gone from 'I think I'm falling for you Simon', to 'you're the guy I never knew existed and I've fallen for you', to 'I need to be by myself for a while' and thence onto 'I'm sorry, I was wrong I shouldn't have said...'

Excellent timing, I've been laid up with flu for 10 days and not able to drive so couldn't get over to talk face to face.

Gutted, but better off alone I think.

Now, about that spare ticket.. Perfect opportunity for anyone wishing to ask that nearly significant other to come along..

Edited: 2 minutes later after I removed the second towel from the rail in the bathroom..

Thanks, but on the half full/half empty scale of things, I reckon the glass is half empty and I had a whale of a time drinking the first half and am about to enjoy the 2nd half even more. No scars, some regrets, but time to move on..

Be interesting to see if you recognise me without a wall of plants on the desk..

Si

Did you just pass up an opportunity to sleep with Mrs Mel there? You just can't teach some people, can you?
