I know, dont ask why but we might be refreshing our clients before we get a chance to migrate the domain to 2003...

so my question is regarding domain policies to secure the XP desktops etc..how do i do it? If i try and load an XP .adm template into Policy Editor on my NT BDC it crashes (hardly surprising really...)
im not really upto speed in XP as an os yet but ive read that it may be possible to load the policy into the local XP Group Policy snap in, and somehow make it backward compatible for NT?

any ideas people?

We elcted to migrate to 2000 server and XP clients, as it wasn't stable on NT...

Workstations are secured using Active Directory post Win2k ... no problem to run XP clients in an NT domain, but you'd need to secure them locally.

can i secure a test XP machine, then use the same template adm files it creates for all my other XP machines?
or i guess i could set one up fine and then build an image of it and use that for all other machines..

but essentially until our domain is upgraded we will have lost domain level control?
