porsche '44 turbo - left standing - advice req
Discussion
hello,
i have been offered a '1990 turbo with 42k genuine on it. its been standing for at least 7months and previosly only been run very infrequently. the chap is looking at around 7.5k after he has prepped it back to working order. my questions are: a) is the price sounding ok, its pretty much book for a car with no service history. b) what things are more likely to go wrong with a car that has been standing?
your replies are appreciated.

Hmm,
I think my best advice would be to take it to a decent porker specialist, pay them to have a poke around, and judge it from there.
In the past I have always been a little wary of cars that have been laid up, and also with no service history.
The inspection / test drive should pinpoint any possible negative points.
Mike.

Get a copy of 911 and Porsche World, loads of specialists advertise in there. I used Autostrasse to inspect an s2 I owned a while ago, not only do they actually know about the model but they are cheaper than the AA.
