OK, the fronts are knackered on our Cooper S (surprised it took so long!). Has anyone tried non-runflats? I find the overly firm and choppy ride a little annoying and this is due in no small part to the stiff sidewalls runflats carry, so..... I'd like to try something else - anyone already done this and can offer advice etc?

Your name suggests u should be using Yoko's ....A-008's in 10 inch....but best are A048's in 12 inch (usual disclaimer of course...IMHO)....but I've heard they wear put quicker than most....can't say myself....don't do many miles in the mini.

Well, if u'd said u had a BMW rather than a Mini, the confusion wouldn't have arisen

Eagle F1's do seem to be the ones that are touted most as the best.

Whats the thoughts on size? 205 or 215?

First Mini to have runflats was the 1275GT in 1974

Indeed....Dunlop Denovo....on hideous steel wheels (IMHO).

Well, for anyone who's interested (!) went for P-Zero's up front in the end - much nicer feel and ride.
Really impressed with the handling on these - nice granular feedback from the front without the slightly dead heaviness of the standard Michelins, a little more adjustability seems to have been dialed in too - had a nice little thrash Sunday AM = big grin. Looking forward to taking her round Goodwood on the 20th!

Trackdemon - may i ask how much and where from?
Not that i need them just yet but am worried that when getting new tyres the wheels will get well messed up.

I'm interested Steve!!

Funny how some people feel the need to have a dig... I could say a lot more about the subject - best not to though I think ;o)

Happy new year to you.
