Hi, I'll soon be needing a new set of boots on my '81 911SC. I'm currently running P6000's which haven't let me down, however I'm keen to see if there are any that offer greater levels of grip? and the cheapest place to buy them in or around London?

Thanks

I've recently purchased an 83 SC, which luckily has a fairly new set of P6000 - but I'd be interested to hear if there are other options.

I used to get tyres for my TVR from Elite out on the A13 near Rainham. Rather Max Power, but the prices were competitive and they had some idea how to lift a car w/o causing too much damage

Where abouts in London are you?

The P6000 is a saloon car tyre -bl**ding awful on sports cars in my experience.

Try the Pirelli P Zero ot Bridgestone S02.

Contat Wraysbury Tyres at Chertsey (30 Porkie mins own the A316/M3/M25 for you!!) for a quote, 01784 490065. Steve or Kevin. Mention my name.

Also visit www.wraysbury-tyres.co.uk, where you will find my home page!!

lurch mate, I had SO2's on the last Tiv and have to say I was pretty damn impressed. Not sure if they make RE720's (again Bridgestone) in your size but I would highly recommend them for a slightly cheaper tyre than the SO2/3. And if you are down this way you will always struggle to beat micheldever on price mate.
