Domster paraphrased Pete:

It's the GT3, boys. You can open your eyes now.

Pete orginally said name of winner in header then:

Got my issue today.
hope I havent spoiled it for you.

It's changed.

Not sure that it ruined the article entirely - I always like to read the whole thing and find out how and why something won. The end result is a bit superfluous compared to how it got there and the decisions involved.

And it was never going to be the SportKa, was it?

They always stick the result in the editorial at the front - I enjoy working out the winner from what's written there...but I'm just sad.

Met Bulgin (RIP) November 2001 thraping Burns' RAC winning Scooby back and forwards across Tower Bridge (yes, really!) top man but wouldn't spill the beans on that year's ECOty (which just happened to be a GT3, naturally )

Damn, I am really sorry.
I feel like a bit of a plonker.

I must admit, I thought it was surprising no one had started a thread on it.

Just read the whole article - takes bloody ages, but is well worth it! Sorry for coming over so angry, your sins are forgiven
Its just that I've had it spoilt a few times now (step forward John Barker) and I particulary enjoyed it last year when the NSX-R won because I honestly didnt have a clue what was going to win (ditto with the Zonda the year before)
TBH, I would have thought that the 360 Stradale would have walked it this year, so for the GT3 to win it means that it must be a true all time great.

Sadly Peter you appear to get your copy of EVO about a week before the rest of us.

I'm not joking.

I think it may be a north/south thing as i have seen copies on Euston Stations WH Smiths about 3 days before mine drops through my letterbox. OK, so you get a reduced cover price when you subscribe but I thought the other compelling reason was that you got it before the public did.

Appears not. Well, not in the Midlands, or the environs of Manchester either.

I've complained to EVO, they say they will look into it, nothing happens.

Greg

PS - no offense taken over your "spoiler" mate - just wish the damn mag would arrive!

Greg It doesnt seem to be a Geography thing, I've done the same thing ref spotting it in shops down 'ere (& i'm miles from the Northern wastelands in my Southern shire)

For some reason however I got mine in the post on Sat this time tho?? (maybe however its just coz ive moved the chez lizard caravan nearer the post office this month tho- better grazing for the horses you see )

The man Jeremy C always seems to have it sussed tho, I remember chatting to him at the Caterham day at Silverstone & he already had his EVO & is also on subs, yet I got mine a week later- very odd as we only live approx 50 miles apart!

But it is a bloody great issue, that I have to say.
I suggest you make it bed time reading.
Makes me dream about cars and empty roads.......

Well I am on subs and the blasted thing hasn't turned up yet. I did read a little of Iggy's though, and the Spec C Impreza does very well for a 27k car... all down to the thinner window glass, I reckon.

I always read the last page first anyway., then look at the price of the cars, then pick out the interesting cars for me and scan just for those bits, then a week or so later read the who article.

Its how it got there not that it won is the interesting part of the article.

I does not botter me at all that the winner was put on the PH site heading- so dont feel bad.
