High performance tire guide

Most of the members of this forum appear to be in UK, however, this US firm gives tire ratings that should be valid on both sides of the pond, because many of the tires noted are sold worldwide. Perhaps this will provide information that can be used to make an informed purchase.
The first link is the more affordable "Ultra High Performance" tires.

As a point of information I put a set of Firehawk Sz50 EP 225/60 15's on my 944, and a set of Bridgestone RE 730's on the 928, both of which had been rated at the very top (but Bridgestone having fallen a bit). Both are superb all around street tires that excell in the wet. I am one who believes wet weather driving represents the "peak event", and that's how I select my tires.

Sorry, Dogsharks, but these 'tyre tests' have very little relevance to Porsche owners of all models - they are based totally on a generic tyre over all vehicles they fit with an emphasis on most common usage - if there were specific running reports on various models and their RESPECTIVE performance on these tyres, it might be helpful, but averaged assessment across FWD, FERWD, MERWD, RERWD, FEAWD, MEAWD, REAWD is all but useless. Nay, maybe useless.

Tire??? is it a guide about feeling sleepy or do you mean those bits of rubber that go round a cars wheels i.e- TYRE..... 
oh and they are mainly black in coloUr too 
Just don't get me started on why you don't like the words autumn or pavement, call a bathroom or kitchen tap some daft name that reminds me of the word gusset, oh and while in on the subject of differences with our colonial compadres- what is the deal with having pool balls the size of space hoppers?? oh and not likeing roundabouts

As I noted, "Perhaps this will provide information that can be used to make an informed purchase." Using information, even if not specific to the car, will still help make a choice, even if you only look at the pictures :-)
The chart is interactive. You can click on any tire you want, and it will show a photo, give all the sizes and specs, and it will have writeups from the owners of different cars, including many Porsche owners. You will find my recommendations in those writeups for two of the tires noted.
I'm interested in any "information" you have to share as well. What tires do you prefer, for what type of driving, and why? I saw your recent tire post, what did you end up selecting?? The list of "Porsche approved tires" was interesting, but there was nothing to suggest "how" they handled the wet, transient tossing, etc. Some of those listed didn't fare very well in the charts I posted.
