After over a year of not having a Porsche, I've bought one biggrin

1986, 2.5 lux, manual in gold (Kalahari) with brown pinstripe interior, very rare fondmetal 16" alloy wheels.

Mines is a 2.5 8 valve n/a which is the original 944 engine about 160bhp but you can get 2.5 16 valve, 2.5 turbo, 2.7 or 3.0 (later S2 model).

I must say that is a lovely car and after seeing that you have convinced me even more about buying a 924.
I must say though what is the difference between the 924 and 944 ?
Also if you ever think about selling those alloys let me know as i must say they are lovely !

Inline 4's.

I'm assuming you mean Boxer engines for the 2nd part, like a scooby, as opposed to the flat six of a boxster.

How long have we got?

Have a look here:

And here:

Must admit that is one gorgeous motor; I had a 944 for four years, regretted selling it the moment I had done it and still do. Now after a few years of front-wheel-drive barges (not by choice, I'm a driving instructor) I've bought an MX-5 while I save up for a Boxster, so I'm sort of getting there. At least the driven wheels are at the right end even if the engine isn't.

Looking forward to seeing what the old girl looks like when she is all fettled. I love old Porsches and it's great to see one being looked after. I've always wanted a 944 (and a 924 turbo, 930 turbo etc...).

Yo Nic wavey

That's uber-cool cool

Where the wheels already fitted? If so that's a top find! Should have my little MG finished soon, and then I can pop up some pics in this corner of PH!
