Head/Earphones?

Hi guys,

I'm wanting to invest in some decent head- or earphones for work, trains, plugging in to my electric drum kit etc. As I will probably use them on the move or in the office for 60-70% of the time, something HUGE would be a bit impractical, so I've been thinking in-ear types with a comfort moulding, or some smaller over-the-head types.

Ideally, I'm after crispness of sound over bass "kick", but ideally would like some good all-rounders. Budget up to about £100, can go over if the phone.

any suggestions - or recommendations?

Sennheiser PX-100? They are over the head types but fold up fairly compact and the sound is pretty impressive. I'm currently using a set at work.

Shure? I have some EC2's that I'm very happy with.

Another vote for the Shure option. Lasted well, cuts down ambient noise really well and I find them comfortable for long periods of use smile

+1
You should get them well inside your budget and far superior than the noise cancelling jobbies from Sony etc(and yes I have used them and I hated the hiss of the active noise cancelling circuits).

Good call, I've seen a few online reviews, the Shure look like the ones. Cheaper than I thought too - £35 off Amazon, bargain! Ordered.

Thanks to the PH faithful. smile
